We are Underground Frames Trading Co. and we're an up-and-coming film/media company and social innovation think tank currently working on a documentary about healthcare in rural Ghana in association w/ Moving Health. We wish to showcase the local engineers we work with providing a platform for their skills and ingenuity.
In general, our work seeks to inspire the next generation of change-makers. We wish to start discussions around the importance of the local-context in the field of international development and the integration of indigenous communities in the design and manufacturing of products targeted at their communities. We also seek to highlight the importance of promoting local entrepreneurship and economic development in the communities we attempt to aid.

Moving Health is an organization that is unique in its approach to international development. They implement a philosophy called "co-creation" heavily driven by the teachings of MIT's D-Lab which focus on the importance of integrating the members of under-served communities into the design and development of solutions that solve vital issues in said communities. The sad reality is that the opinions of people living in under-served communities are often over-looked due to stigmas and general mis-conceptions, while the reality is their ideas are often the most important and more practical.
We think the stories of these people, people who live in under-served communities and are actively part of building solutions to the problems facing their communities, deserve to be heard. Their stories can inspire people to think differently about the field of international development and change the stigmas surrounding these communities for the better. Compassion starts with understanding, and understanding starts with awareness. As an organization, we hope to provide the awareness and understanding so people just like you may provide the compassion.
